NEW DAY 397: The height of madness

In the past week, three people have separately commented that I look taller.

The first time was a fluke; I chalked it up to their not having seen me in a while.

The second time was a strange coincidence; I figured it was the optical illusion of a thinning-out middle.

The third time made me actually think, “hmm… am I taller?”

So tonight, I measured myself, and… I’m half an inch taller.
I measured again and got the same result.
Um???

Am I standing up straighter from the lack of extra gravitational pull? Have all the upper body exercises started reversing years of hunching-induced buffalo hump and actually helped lengthen my neck? Did the half shoe size I lost reapply itself to my height? Have all the measuring sticks been lying for decades?

I don’t know. It’s a mystery. The weight-loss twilight zone is alive and well.
